In an announcement on Friday, Feburary 10, Lionsgate's chief executiveJon Feltheimer said, " 'The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II'trailer will debut exclusively on every 'Hunger Games' print on itsopening night for what will be Lionsgate's largest release ever." Thestrategy was made to gain a massive base of Twi-hards to the openingweekend of "Hunger Games", which will arrive in the U.S. theaters onMarch 23.
During the Friday conference call with analysts, Feltheimer shared thathe was confident the combo of "Breaking Dawn II" and "Hunger Games" will generate "highly visible" gross for the studio. He said, "Now we have a strong pipeline of young-adult franchises."
Meanwhile, former Summit Entertainment president Rob Friedman saidduring the call that a sixth "Twilight" film is possible to happen, butit is only if authoress Stephenie Meyer comes out with another book."It's totally in her hands," said Friedman.
