Careful you don't drop it! Tulisa brings her mobile to the pool as she heads to work on her tan in Miami

She's spent the past few weeks in America working on her debut solo album.

But it appears Tulisa Contostavlos couldn't resist getting in some tanning action as she headed straight to the pool following her arrival in Miami yesterday.

And let's hope the X Factor judge hasn't got butterfingers as she brought her phone with her as she enjoyed a cooling dip with her personal assistant Gareth Varey.

The N-Dubz frontwoman, 23, showed off her curvy figure - and her tattoos - in a white and gold bikini as she cooled off from the 27C temperatures in the pool.

By her side was her best friend and PA Varey, who has recently got a tattoo of his boss's name.

After three weeks in California, Tulisa and her entourage arrived in Miami on Tuesday.

As well as recording her album, she's also preparing to film the video for her first single We Are Young.

Earlier this week, she admitted she was torn between several tracks for the first release, but has obviously plumped for We Are Young.

She's been hashtagging the single on her Twitter page in the hope of getting the song trending on the micro-blogging site.

As she prepared to leave LA, she tweeted: 'On route 2 the airport! A week of studio, sun, sea & fun! Then the video shoot 4 my first single! #weareyoung #wereinmiamib**ch.'

And once she arrived in Florida, she was met by the paparazzi and some bemused tourists who bumped into the singer in the airport toilets.

She wrote on Twitter: 'I am hiding in a Miami airport toilet...swamped by Americans that have no idea who I am, can the ground open up already #awkward.

Her debut single has been produced by ex-boyfriend and N-Dubz bandmate Richard 'Fazer' Rawson.
