The professional dancers were snubbed by show producers who wrote to them to say "they would not be needed".
Ola and James have taken part in every annual Strictly tour and had rejected other work offers for early next year.
The snub means she will not dance with Robbie Savage, her partner on the show, when it hits the road.
James — who partnered The One Show's Alex Jones this series — vented his anger on Twitter.
He posted: "Myself and Ola will definitely NOT be doing the Strictly Tour! Just received an E-MAIL to say we are not needed!!"
Show insiders said the decision was because of James's on-screen bust-ups with show judges.
A source said: "His behaviour has got worse and worse. Bosses thought he needed a reality check."
Ola's partner Robbie Savage tweeted: "Ola was the best partner ever but... no one is bigger than the show!"
A tour spokesman said: "It's not possible to take everyone."
