The best way to promote your new swimwear range is to employ a tall, tanned model to don the skimpy pieces.

But at 43, and after having two children, Lizzie Cundy is still able to do the job herself.

The TV presenter and model had been with Simon Cowell at a charity fund raiser for The Hope Sanctuary – an organisation which saves abused, abandoned and neglected dogs in Barbados.

But today was all about family time for Lizzie as she relaxed on the beach with her two sons Josh and James, from her marriage to former footballer Jason Cundy, whom she split from last year.

She first donned a metallic pink bikini with black trim as she went for a dip in the sea.

The two-piece exposed her taut stomach and slim legs, which she paraded for delighted onlookers.

She then donned a stunning black monokini which great against her tanned skin.

Lizzie added a pair of unpractical wedged heels to the ensemble which looked out of place on the sand, but extended her already-long legs.

It was then time for a turn at sailing a boat, although she looked as though she preferred perching - and pouting - on the side rather than anything else.

She revealed on Twitter: 'Got a slight hangover and now going to sail a boat..not sure this is a good idea!!!'

She joined Simon's ex Sinitta at the charity event last night.

He had interrupted his vacation at Sandy Lane Beach Resort to talk to guests about drumming up some support for the affected animals, kicking off an auction which saw him and other celebrities give away treats to the highest bidder.

The event appeared to produce a lot of laughs as showbiz agent and auctioneer Jonathan Shalit ended the evening with a soaking wet shirt.

There was no sign of Simon's fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy, which will no doubt spark further speculation regarding their relationship, or indeed split, as the pair have failed to be seen together in months.

Lizzie tweeted today: 'Lovely to see @sinittaofficial last night at the local dog charity event. Lots of money raised! Such a great event!!'
